PSV Handbal Women

PSV Handbal Women play their handball in the Eredivisie Vrouwen, carrying the red and white of the wider PSV Eindhoven club into a competition still shadowed by their own record in the game's earlier form. That record was built on grass rather than a court: between 1948 and 1956 the club took the Dutch field handball championship seven times.

Indoors, the honours have been rarer and came later — the KNVB Beker in 1980/81 and again in 1989/90. The national indoor title itself has stayed out of reach; the closest the club came was a runner-up finish in 1954. For a spell after 2000 the team did not compete as PSV at all, merging with SVOG and DVC to form PSV/DVC/SVOG before the name reverted to PSV Handbal in 2002.

Marloes Hoitzing, a Dutch international, returned to the club in 2026 after spells in Germany and Canada. Matches against Feyenoord Handbal carry weight beyond the handball itself, borrowed from the football rivalry between the parent clubs, though the fixture has no name of its own.

Home games are played in front of just 375 seats at Sporthal de Vijfkamp. The indoor championship the club has chased since the 1950s remains the one line missing from its history.
