Wexford

The men's side spent 2025 in the First Division. The women's team, meanwhile, won the All-Island Cup in 2025.

The club exists because County Wexford had nothing else. It is the only professional club from the county in the League of Ireland, which is why there is no derby: the nearest thing to local rivals are Waterford United and Cobh Ramblers, both an outside county away. That absence shaped the founding on 6 February 2007 , and it shaped what came next.

In 2017 the name lost the word that had defined it. Wexford Youths became Wexford FC at the start of that season, and ownership passed to Wexford Supporters' Trust, a co-operative of the club's own followers.

Ferrycarrig Park holds 2,500, of which only 609 are fixed seats — the rest is standing. At the end of 2023 the club set out plans for a 6,000-capacity ground in the centre of Wexford town; Ferrycarrig has remained home in the meantime.

The kit changed in 2023, from pink and black to the county's purple shirt with gold shorts and socks.

Their two finals ended badly: 1–6 to Derry City in the League of Ireland Cup in 2008, 0–4 to Bohemians in the Leinster Senior Cup in 2015–16. The closest run since was the 2023 FAI Cup semi-final, where St Patrick's Athletic won 3–0.
