Žďár nad Sázavou

The rink in Žďár nad Sázavou stands at Bouchalky, holding 3,500 people, and it has stayed the club's home through nine changes of name.

SKLH grew out of SK Město Žďár, formed in 1939. Sokol during the postwar years, Tatran under one political turn, Spartak under another, then two decades as TJ Žďas. The current name, SKLH, has held since 2003.

The club's competitive peak sits in a narrow window. Promotion out of the II. národní liga in 1977–78 took the team into the 1. NHL, the second tier of Czechoslovak hockey, where it stayed from 1979 to 1983. It dropped back down afterward and has not returned since. A second, smaller climb came in 2007–08, winning the Krajský přebor Vysočiny and moving up into the 2. liga, where the club plays now, in the third tier.
