Two rivals from the same city share this ground: CRB and CSA both call Estádio Rei Pelé home.
Locals still call the place Trapichão, after the Trapiche da Barra district where it stands in the southern zone of the city.
The ground opened on 25 October 1970, and the visitors made sure the day was remembered for the wrong reasons on the home side's account: Santos took the hosts apart, running out 5-0 winners in the opening match.
There is no dedicated club or stadium website to point fans to. The venue is run directly by the state, through SELAJ/SEINFRA, and enquiries go through a phone line rather than a web page.
