Waterford Regional Sports Centre
Waterford, Ireland
Formerly: Kilcohan Park
Waterford Regional Sports Centre sits on the Cork Road at Kingsmeadow. Waterford FC arrived here for the 1993–94 season after decades at Kilcohan Park.
What separates the RSC from a plain single-purpose ground is the scale of the wider complex around the main pitch: a running track and a cluster of additional football pitches share the site, with council plans on record to convert some of the training surfaces from grass to synthetic in the years ahead. The stadium pitch itself has stayed natural grass throughout.
Ownership tells its own story here. That municipal footing has meant steady rather than dramatic change: new seating, upgraded floodlights, and general modernisation over the years, most recently a floodlighting upgrade carried out in February 2023.
