Aleksandr Nechaev

Aleksandr Nechaev's career has been a tour of Belarusian football's second and third tiers, with the odd detour abroad. Brest-born, he came through the Dinamo Brest academy before a loan spell at Atlant Kobryn sent him out to prove himself, and he returned to his parent club without breaking into regular first-team football there. The move that gave his career shape was to Rukh Brest, where he spent four seasons and picked up his only silverware: the Belarusian Second Division title in 2018, followed by a third-place finish in the First Division the year after.

From there his path has been that of a well-travelled squad goalkeeper rather than a settled number one. Sabah Baku took him to Azerbaijan for a season, after which he returned to Belarus with Minsk and then Gomel, where in the 2024 campaign he kept three clean sheets in ten matches. Early in 2026 he moved further afield still, to Tajik side Khujand, where he made 11 appearances and kept five clean sheets. In July 2026 he came full circle, rejoining Dinamo Brest on a free transfer on a contract to the end of the year.

International recognition has been limited to two caps for Belarus's under-21 side back in 2014, and he has not added to that at senior level. At 189cm and right-footed, he has not been defined less by standout individual moments than by steady service across a long list of clubs.
