Alex Jojo

Alex Jojo's rise through Hong Kong football has followed a steady climb through the city's clubs before a move abroad and a return that ended in silverware. He began his professional career at Happy Valley on a free transfer, then joined Eastern Sports Club, where he won the Hong Kong Sapling Cup in the 2020–21 season. A free transfer took him to Tai Po in 2023 before he signed a two-year contract with Swedish side IK Oddevold that December.

He returned to Eastern Sports Club on loan for the 2024–25 season and won both the Hong Kong FA Cup and the Hong Kong Senior Shield. In July 2025 he joined Shanghai Port, and on 22 November 2025 he became the first player from Hong Kong to lift the Chinese Super League trophy. He signed for Chengdu Rongcheng on a free transfer on 1 February 2026.

Jojo qualifies for Hong Kong through his upbringing in the city and also holds Swedish citizenship through his mother. He made his senior international debut for Hong Kong on 8 September 2024 against Fiji and has since earned eight caps. Before that, he represented the Hong Kong under-23 side, collecting seven caps in 2021 and featuring in the squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2022 Asian Games, a run that included a 1-0 quarter-final win over Iran under-23.
