Dong Yanfeng

Dong Yanfeng came through the youth ranks at Dalian, joining the club's academy system around 2014 and making his senior debut in 2016. He stayed with the Dalian side, playing under its various names through to Dalian Professional. In 2017 he was part of the squad that won the China League One title, a campaign that carried the club back up to the Chinese Super League.

Before that promotion push, Dong had already tasted success at youth level, winning a gold medal with the Liaoning U18 team at the 2013 National Games of China, a squad built around players from the Dalian Aerbin U19 setup. He also went through the China U19 national team between 2013 and 2015, featuring in AFC U-19 Championship qualifiers and friendlies under coach Li Bing, though a senior cap has not followed.

By 2023 his path with Dalian had run its course, and he moved to Chengdu Rongcheng on a free transfer. At Dalian he made 86 appearances and scored twice; since arriving at Chengdu he has continued to feature regularly for the club, adding a further goal to his tally along the way.
