About the player
Doszhan Kenzhegulov came through Spartak's youth academy in Semey before joining Altay's youth setup in 2018. The defender made his debut for Altay's first team in the Kazakhstan First League the following year.
In 2023 he left for Yelimay, the club from his home city of Semey, and helped the side win the First League title and earn promotion to the Premier League. That spell proved brief: on 14 March 2024 he returned to Altay, signing a deal that runs to the end of 2026. Back at the club where he started, he settled into a regular role in defence, wearing the number 23 shirt.
Kenzhegulov has also featured for Kazakhstan's under-19 side, though he has yet to make an appearance for the senior national team.
