About the player
Ersin Zehir came through St Pauli's academy in Hamburg and eventually breaking into the first team. He made 21 appearances for St Pauli between 2018 and 2021, with a loan spell back at VfB Lübeck yielding 30 matches. A move to Turkey followed, first at Antalyaspor and then Tuzlaspor, though first-team opportunities there were limited. A loan to FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands brought more regular football, with 16 appearances and a goal.
It was back in Germany, at Eintracht Norderstedt, that Zehir found his footing as a regular starter and leader. Across two seasons he made 65 appearances and scored seven goals, wearing the captain's armband, and the side won the Hamburg Cup in the 2024/2025 season.
