About the player
Kalle Joelsson won the Superettan in 2018 while on loan at Ängelholms FF from Helsingborgs IF, the club whose academy he had joined four years earlier.
He began at IF Lödde in 2004 and stayed there for ten years. At Helsingborgs IF's academy he also played for the cooperative club HIF Akademi. He joined the senior squad in January 2017, but his Allsvenskan debut did not come until 31 March 2019, the season after the loan.
Joelsson stayed with Helsingborgs until 2024.
In January 2025 he moved to AIK Stockholm on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until 31 December 2027. His first match for the club was against Malmö FF on 14 April 2025.
For Sweden he has played at youth level: one cap for the U19s in 2015 and one for the U21s in 2019.
