About the player
Murilo Rikman came through Cruzeiro's academy at Toca da Raposa, joining at the age of 13, and by 2024 he was a regular fixture for the club's U-20 side, making 43 appearances that season. The following year brought both a first-team debut and the Campeonato Mineiro Sub-20 title with the youth side. His step up to senior football arrived on 25 April 2025, when he came on as a substitute in the Copa Sudamericana against Palestino, having already been included in the squad against Internacional earlier that month.
That same year he was called into Brazil's U-20 squad for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, appearing as a substitute against Mexico and Morocco after earlier being named for friendlies against Paraguay. By mid-2026 he had made five or six appearances for Cruzeiro's first team.
In July 2026 Cruzeiro loaned him to Sport Recife for the remainder of the Série B season, with the move finalised on 28 July as part of a broader deal that brought Zé Lucas the other way. Sport Recife took on 35% of his economic rights for the duration of the loan. At Sport he swapped his usual number 35 for the number 15 shirt.
