About the player
Sondre Liseth is the first Norwegian to play for Górnik Zabrze. He joined on a free transfer on 14 January 2025, when his contract with Haugesund expired. The club wanted more strength in attack after Igor Angulo left, and Liseth made his debut for Górnik that same month.
His scoring record is clearest in the lower divisions. He came through the youth ranks at Gneist and scored 13 goals in 24 senior appearances for them. He then moved to Fana IL and scored 20 in 53 matches. A season at Nest-Sotra followed, with eight goals in 27 games.
The step up to Mjøndalen brought seven goals in 51 appearances. At Haugesund he scored six in 55. He arrived in Poland as a right-footed forward, 182 centimetres tall.
His most notable result at Górnik came in the 2025–26 Polish Cup. The final was played on 2 May 2026 at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, against Raków Częstochowa. Górnik won 2–0. Liseth started and was substituted in the 90th minute, so he was on the pitch for almost the whole final.
Liseth's arrival at Górnik also set a first for the club. No Norwegian had played for them before him.
