Bangers

The owners of the Portland Pickles, a collegiate summer baseball team, run the ownership group COLLiDE Sport. Its mascot is a pink sausage called Saucy T. Sausage, who sits on a crest inspired by the St. Johns Bridge.

Jorge Villafaña was appointed head coach in January 2025, before the club was even unveiled. Diego Valeri, the former Portland Timbers captain and MLS MVP, works as assistant coach and team advisor. Lukas Fisher and Jaime Villanueva came from the Timbers Academy, Sean McDowd from Timbers 2.

The club has moved once. In 2025 it played at the University of Oregon Portland Stadium in Northeast Portland, the former Concordia University ground. For 2026 it went south-east to Lents Field in Lents Park, next to Charles B. Walker Stadium. The ground was revamped for the move and now holds up to 2,000 people, with seating on the touchline.

The Bangers have two rivals. Ballard FC of Seattle meets them for the PNW Keg Cup, and Lane United FC of Eugene is the in-state opponent.

The first season ended with the Bangers fourth in the Northwest Division and outside the playoffs. The club has yet to win a title or reach a postseason.
