Midlakes United

Midlakes United were 2-0 up against Ballard FC, and then the game turned. Ballard came back to win 3-2 in 2026.

The club exists because Treencee Russell, its owner and general manager, set it up on December 26, 2023, to put a USL League Two side in Bellevue. The first season followed in 2024, at the Bellevue College Soccer Complex, in the Northwest Division.

The first head coach was Justi Baumgardt, who played for the US women's national team from 1993 to 1999 and came through the University of Portland. Her nephew Zane, a defender, was in the squad. So was the captain, Bailey Lethermen, a midfielder from Seattle University. Both, along with the forward Kevin Galiano, had come over from Ballard FC.

Felix Vu took over for 2025 and Ryan Faithfull for 2026. The table has held steadier than the staff: fourth in the division in 2024, fifth in 2025, fourth again in 2026. There are no titles or cups yet. The kit is sky blue with navy trim and white shoulders at home, and purple with sky blue trim away.

The Ballard fixture is the one local coverage has named the "Eastside Classic" or the "Battle on the Eastside". The name was also used in 2025 for a match against Bellevue Athletic.
