Jackson Boom's first season in USL League Two has brought no points from its first 12 games. The team joined the Mid South division of the Southern Conference in 2026, and it is in that division that the results so far have come.
The club's place in the league was announced in September 2025, as an expansion side. USL League Two is a pre-professional level.
Leading the side is Briamst Castro, a graduate of Union University, which is also in Jackson. He is listed as head coach.
League Two is not the club's only competition. Boom also has a presence in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) and the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL). It has a sister organisation in the basketball club Jackson TN Underdawgs, so the same city has a football side and a basketball side under related banners.
The club was not created to play in a national league. It was founded in 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee, as a youth academy and development organisation, a place to train local players. The men's team in USL League Two grew out of that work.
