Jaraaf

In September 1969, Foyer France Sénégal disappeared to make way for a new name. The club merged with Espoirs de Dakar and came out the other side as ASC Jaraaf, carrying forward a squad that had already won the Senegal FA Cup in successive years and, months earlier, the league itself. Everything Jaraaf counts before that date it counts as Foyer France Sénégal — the founding in 1933, the West African Cup lifted in 1948 while Senegal was still under French rule.

What followed the merger was a run few Senegalese clubs have matched: 13 league titles, the most recent in 2023, and 16 domestic cups, a tally that stretches back to 1967 and forward to 2023.

Jaraaf still plays at Stade Demba Diop, known locally as Le Prince 's home in the same way the club itself carries the nickname.

The rivalries stay local and sharp — the Derby dakarois against US Ouakam, and the meetings with US Gorée that carry their own name. What has not followed the domestic success is a foothold in continental football: Jaraaf's appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, in 2021 and again in 2024-25, have stopped at the group stage, but did not concede either.
