Lorain County Leviathan

Jack Nolan is the face of Lorain County Leviathan, though he is not a player. He is the mascot, an original leviathan character drawn from the sea monsters of the Great Lakes, and above all from the Lake Erie monster.

The Lorain County Leviathan were announced in November 2025 as a new USL League Two franchise, with a first season set for 2026. They represent Lorain County from Avon, Ohio. The name was put to a fan vote in late 2025. The other options were Lorain County Blast FC and Lorain County Quarrymen FC, and supporters chose the monster over both. The colours are sea green and yellow.

The team plays at ForeFront Field, which is first of all a baseball park. It is the home of the Lake Erie Crushers, seats 5,000, and has carried the names Crushers Stadium, Mercy Health Stadium and Sprenger Stadium.

The club sits in the Great Forest Division of USL League Two, alongside Cleveland Force SC and Akron City FC. Before the first ball was kicked, the three clubs had a trophy to contest, the Orange Barrel Cup.
