Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2

Announced on 22 December 2025, the club arrived as a reserve team for the parent organization, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. It is distinct from the U23 side that played in the USL Premier Development League between 2014 and 2016.

They play at Highmark Stadium, a venue with a capacity of 5,000. Some sources suggest the number might be lower. There is no official website for the second team; everything flows through the main site, reinforcing that this is not a standalone entity but an extension of something older.

In their inaugural 2026 USL League Two campaign, they finished third in the Great Forest Division. They did not qualify for the playoffs, but they showed they could compete. Jack Moxom and Josh Hardin were among the names to watch, while Pablo Linzoain brought experience from his first-team debut the previous year. Things came to a head when the first derby against Steel City FC was scheduled for 27 May 2026.
