New Jersey Copa

New Jersey Copa beat the defending national champions, New York Cosmos B, 1-0 in the 2016 NPSL Northeast Region Semifinals, in the senior men's team's first season in the league. Clarkstown SC Eagles won the Regional Championship, so the run stopped one step short. The Keystone Conference title followed in 2017.

The team came out of an academy. Roberto Aguas set up the Fútbol Club Copa Academy in Hillsborough in 2004, and the senior club was formed from it in 2015. Its graduates include Matty Berman, who captained the men's side and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2024. Sydney Cummings, a defender who went through Brown and Georgetown, was picked by Racing Louisville in the 2022 NWSL Draft.

In 2016 it won the first UWS Eastern Conference title, then reached the UWS National Championship final and lost to Santa Clarita Blue Heat in double overtime. The women's futsal team took the US Futsal Northeast Regional in 2018.

Electric City Shock SC gave the club its hardest games in the 2016-2017 NPSL seasons. FC Motown ended the 2017 U.S. Open Cup run, winning 2-1 in extra time.

Since 2021 the men have played in USL League Two, at Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen. The red and black colours carry meaning: black shirts at home for strength, red away for passion.
