The complex sits in Portmore, a coastal town in St Catherine about 24 km west of Kingston, and the club has played there since it arrived in 2003. Some listings put the capacity nearer 3,000.

The move mattered more than the address. Before 2003 the club was Hazard United, based in May Pen in Clarendon parish, and it had already won a Jamaica Premier League title under that name in 1992–93. The relocation to Portmore and the change of name came in the same year.

Two seasons later came the season that still sets the standard. In 2004–05 the club took the league, the Champions Cup and the Caribbean Club Championship in one campaign. The Caribbean title returned in 2019, paired that season with a league championship.

Eight league titles now sit against the club's name.
