About the player
Rodallega's name is written into Wigan Athletic's history: he finished his time in England as the club's all-time leading scorer in the Premier League, with 24 goals, ten of them coming in the 2009–10 season alone after his move from Necaxa. He carried on to Turkey with Akhisar Belediyespor, Trabzonspor and Denizlispor, and later to Brazil with Bahia.
He started out in Colombia with Deportes Quindío and then Deportivo Cali, with whom he won the Copa Mustang in 2005, before a move to Mexico took him through Monterrey, a loan at Atlas and a longer stay at Necaxa. At youth level he had already made his mark: in 2005 he was the top scorer of the U-20 South American Championship with 11 goals in nine games, a tally that broke the previous record held by Luciano Galletti. He went on to earn 43 caps for Colombia's senior side, scoring eight goals between 2005 and 2011.
Rodallega returned home in 2023 to join Santa Fe: he was the club's top scorer in 2024 with 18 goals and again in 2025 with 16. The high point came in the 2025-I Apertura final against Independiente Medellín, when he scored the decisive goal in the 79th minute of the second leg to seal a 2-1 aggregate win and the title.
