About the player
Óliver Torres came through Atlético Madrid's academy and made his senior debut for the club in 2012. He joined Porto permanently in February 2017 for €20 million and lifted the Primeira Liga and the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira there, having already been named the league's Breakthrough Player of the Year in 2014–15.
A €11 million move took him to Sevilla in 2019, where he stayed until 2024 and won the UEFA Europa League twice, in 2019–20 and 2022–23. He was an unused substitute in the 2019–20 final. Torres joined Monterrey on a free transfer on 8 June 2024, signing a three-year contract.
At youth level he collected 43 caps between the Under-18 and Under-21 sides, scoring three goals for the Under-21s, and was part of the Spain squad that won the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2012, when he was named to the Team of the Tournament. He has not made a senior appearance for Spain.
