About the player
Pedro Zarza was seventeen when Martín Palermo picked him for Olimpia Asunción's first-team squad in August 2024, and he went on to make six appearances in the Paraguayan Primera División that season. He had come through the club's youth ranks as a right-footed winger, and the following year he took part in Olimpia's Copa Libertadores Sub-20 campaign, scoring once in three appearances.
In July 2025, Olimpia sent him on loan to Sportivo Trinidense for the 2025–2026 season. He featured in 19 matches in the 2025 Copa de Primera without scoring, then added a goal and an assist across 16 appearances in the 2026 edition of the competition. The loan runs until the end of June 2026, after which he is due back at Olimpia, where his contract extends to 2029.
