Angers

In Angers, a group of skaters formed the Association des Sports de Glace d'Angers in November 1982. The rise through the divisions was quick by the sport's usual pace: by 1992 the club had reached the Ligue Magnus, the top tier of French hockey, and has not left it since.

Four times Les Ducs have lifted the Coupe de France — 2007 against Épinal, 2014 against Rouen, 2022 against Gap, and again in 2025 against Grenoble. The Ligue Magnus title itself has proved harder to reach: finals in 2010, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2022 and 2025 have all ended in defeat, most often to Rouen.

Robin Gaborit has worn the captain's armband since joining in 2012.

In September 2019 the club left the old Patinoire Jean Bouin for the Angers IceParc. Blue, white and red remain the colours on the shirt, as they have since the ASGA days.

What Les Ducs d'Angers have built in the Coupe de France, they have yet to turn into the one trophy that has eluded them across six lost finals: the Ligue Magnus itself.
