BIK Karlskoga

The club had been born in 1943 as IFK Bofors, folded into Karlskoga IF twenty years later as KB 63, then run under the Bofors banner again from 1978 until the rebrand made it simply BIK Karlskoga.

Bengt-Åke Gustafsson is the name still spoken of at Nobelhallen with the most weight: his No. 16 hangs retired, a rare honour for a club that has never lifted the Elitserien or SHL title, let alone the SM-cup.

There has been no silverware to show for it at senior level, but the development work has kept BIK Karlskoga relevant in a county where Örebro HK sits as the natural enemy.
