GBA Lions Jindřichův Hradec dropped out of the NBL again this year, beaten by BK GAPA Hradec Králové in the promotion play-off. Between 2012 and 2025 the club went up and came back down twice more, still its best result at that level.

The senior side has never lifted the NBL title or the Czech Cup. The academy has delivered where the first team has not: the junior side beat USK Praha 87:64 to take the Extraliga Juniorů in 2025, with Michal Grill named the final's MVP, following age-group titles in 2018 and 2019. Jaroslav Beránek's link to the club runs deeper, spanning a playing career and a spell on the bench.

The name over the door has changed more often than the address. What started in 2004, when Mgr. R. Hrala took over third-league rights from TJ Slovan and swapped them with Dukla Dejvice for a place in the second tier, has since been called BK JHComp, BK Lions, Basket Fio banka, and now GBA Lions following the 2019 merger with Get Better Academy. Games in South Bohemia against BK GAPA Hradec Králové and GBA Sojky Pelhřimov carry the sharpest edge locally, without either fixture having settled into a named derby.
