CZ.Academy went the whole of the 2023/24 season unbeaten in the 2. Liga Mužů, 28 wins from 28 in the regular season and play-offs, then won five of six games in the promotion series to book a place in the 1. Liga Mužů for 2024/25.

The project began life as a proposal put to the Czech Basketball Federation in 2020 and was formally launched on 4 September 2021, as a development pathway: a first season run as a micro-cycle programme before CZ.Academy took the floor as a full squad in the second tier for 2022/23.

Alongside the domestic run, the club has tested itself abroad and against invited opposition: runner-up in the B-League Challenge Cup in Japan in 2024, third in the Crystal Bohemia Cup in 2023, and results at the GBA Young Guns Invitational and the Tel Aviv International Tournament the same and the previous year.

Home games are played at the Královka arena in Prague's seventh district, which holds 2,192.

On the bench, head coach Lukáš Pivoda took the side through the unbeaten league campaign and the play-off run that followed it.
