IPK

They beat Imatran Ketterä in the 2023–24 final to take the Mestis title, a first in the club's history, and returned to the same final position twelve months later, losing it. Between those two seasons sits the whole shape of the thing: a team that has never dropped back out of the division since it went up.

That promotion came in 2016, when IPK won the Suomi-sarja, the tier below. Everything since traces from that single result — the bronze in 2020–21, the run to gold in 2023–24, the silver that followed it. No relegation in between.

IPK keeps close ties to KalPa Kuopio, sharing a under-20 side and moving players between the two squads rather than treating each other as rivals in the usual sense.
