Jeunesse Sportive Omrane

The Stade Chedly-Zouiten sits in the Belvédère quarter of Tunis, some distance from El Omrane itself, holding close to 18,000 people, and for years JS Omrane split its home fixtures between that ground and the far smaller Complexe Sportif Taieb Ben Ammar in their own district. The bigger stadium was the one that mattered once results demanded it.

Founded in 1943, the club spent decades outside the Tunisian top flight, known simply as Les Omraniens to the district that carried its name. That changed in the 2023–24 season, when JS Omrane won the Ligue 2 title and went up to Ligue 1 for the first time in the club's history. The following campaign they opened their top-flight account with a 2-1 win over EG Sfax, then found the level unforgiving soon after, losing 2-0 to Club Africain. In 2025–26 they went further than the table suggested they might, reaching the semi-finals of the Tunisian Cup before Espérance de Tunis ended the run.

The fixture that means most locally is against Stade Tunisien, billed as the "petit derby de la capitale tunisienne" between two clubs sharing the city without sharing its biggest stage. Games against Espérance carry the same neighbourhood proximity, though the gap in size and history between the two sides is not one JS Omrane's promotion has closed.
