In the 1983–84 season a club still registered as Rudá hvězda Pardubice, the works team of the Ministry of the Interior, won the Czechoslovak Basketball League — a title earned the year after finishing runner-up. The club has changed its name eight times as sponsors and eras came and went, from Rudá hvězda through SKP, BHC SKP, Synthesia and JIP to the current BK KVIS, yet every honours list still runs back through the same organisation to 1956.

Stanislav Kropilák, a Slovak forward, was part of that 1984 championship side. The bigger local mark belongs to Kamil Švrdlík, the club captain who has scored more than 5,000 points in the Czech National Basketball League.

Since the Czechoslovak split, the club has taken the Czech Cup twice, in 1993–94 and 2015–16, and added the Alpe Adria Cup in 2019–20. Domestically the closest it has come to a modern league title is the runner-up finish behind in 2025–26. Home games are played in front of 1,400 at Sportovní hala Dašická, though the club moves finals and big occasions to the roughly 10,000-capacity Enteria Arena when the fixture calls for it.
