Serik Belediyespor

Serik sits on the coastal plain of Antalya Province, a district better known for wrestling than for football, and the club's own nickname, Pehlivanlar — the Wrestlers — makes no attempt to hide it. Founded in 1955, Serik Belediyespor spent most of its existence away from the game's higher tiers, playing out its seasons in front of a few thousand people at the İsmail Oğan Stadyumu.

What changed was the run that began in 2017–18, when the club won the Spor Toto Bölgesel Amatör Lig 7th Group and beat Ödemişspor 5–0 in the play-offs to reach the TFF 3. Lig for the first time. Two years later, with the 2019–20 season cut short by the pandemic, Serik Belediyespor were confirmed champions of the TFF 3. Lig 1st Group and moved up again, into the TFF 2. Lig. Atakan Cangöz captained the side through that stretch.

The climb did not stop there. In 2024–25, Serik Belediyespor took the TFF 2. Lig Red Group title, sealing it with a 6–0 win over Merkür Jet Erbaaspor on the final matchday and, with it, a first-ever promotion to the Trendyol 1. Lig. Cem Ekinci's hat-trick against Belediye Derincespor that same season was one of the results that got them there.

Locally, the fixture that matters is against Manavgat Belediyespor, a neighbouring-district meeting known in Antalya as the derby; Demre Belediyespor provides a second, smaller rivalry lower down the pyramid. The Turkish Cup has brought no silverware — recent runs have ended at the fourth round, against Adana Demirspor and Gaziantep FK.

Three promotions in seven years is the number that sums up where this club has been going.
