Wetzikon

The Kunsteisbahn Wetzikon holds around 4,000 people, with roughly 1,500 of them seated, and it is where EHC Wetzikon has built whatever standing it has in Swiss hockey since the club's founding in 1949. Black and yellow are the colours that go with it.

The high point came in 1980, when Wetzikon won promotion to the Nationalliga B, the second tier of the Swiss game. They stayed there five seasons before financial trouble pulled them back down through the divisions. The club did not stay down for good: a rebuild brought them back to the 1. Liga by 1989, and Division 2 titles followed in 2000 and 2014. The 1. Liga championship came round again in 2018, and once more in 2024 — that second title carried Wetzikon up into the MyHockey League, the third tier.

Games against EHC Dübendorf carry the weight of a Zürcher derby, with EHC Bülach the other fixture that matters more than the table suggests.
