Oberthurgau

Promotion to the MyHockey League in 2025 came without a playoff title — the club moved up a tier after other promoted sides declined the step, leaving Oberthurgau to fill the vacancy it hadn't quite earned on the ice.

The name attached to the rink today dates to 2001, when the team left Kreuzlingen for the newly built Eissportzentrum Oberthurgau in Romanshorn and took the name of Pikes, the local telecoms firm sponsoring it. Before that the club had already moved once, from its founding home in Uttwil through a spell in Uzwil. Two names and two towns preceded the one on the shirts now.

Silverware has been modest: the 2. Liga title in 2008 and a runners-up finish in the 1. Liga final three years later, in 2011. The same 2008 season carried a personal mark — Daniel Peer, who had already played in the National League, topped the Division 1 scoring chart while wearing the club's colours.

Four numbers hang retired in the rafters. Christian Strasser's 23 tops the list with 316 points, the most anyone has scored for the club; Björn Stäheli's 8 belongs to the player who turned out most often, 332 games.

Fixtures against EHC Frauenfeld carry their own name, the Thurgau Derby.

The rink in Romanshorn holds 1,500, blue and white through the stands.
