Zvolen HKM

Tiposbet Arena in Zvolen holds just over 5,000 people under a roof added in the 1970s; a training hall was bolted on in the 1980s, and in 2024 a sponsorship deal gave the old winter stadium its current name. In 2025 HKM Zvolen handed the lease back to the city, and in February 2026 an ammonia leak from a cooling tank put the arena's own machinery in the news for reasons that had nothing to do with hockey.

The club traces itself to March 1927, when it was registered as ZTC Zvolen, though it took until February 1932 to play its first recorded game, against Slávia Banská Bystrica. Between then and the arrival of the current name in 2006, it passed through Lokomotíva Bučina, ZTK and HK Hell.

Under the name Rytieri, or the Knights, Zvolen has taken the Slovak Extraliga three times, in 2001, 2013 and 2021, the first of those finals won against Dukla Trenčín and the third against Poprad. In 2005 the club added the IIHF Continental Cup. Jozef Golonka , who led the forward line through the 1970s, and Michal Handzuš spent part of the 2004–05 NHL lockout wearing the jersey before returning to North America.

A Slovak Cup has never been part of the collection.
