Copa Master (Argentina) 2023/24

Copa Máster is a pre-season knockout tournament for the top senior professional volleyball clubs in Argentina. Organized by the Asociación de Clubes Liga Argentina de Voleibol (ACLAV), the event brings together the four best teams from the previous season's Liga Argentina for a final-four weekend featuring semifinals and finals. The competition was first held in 2010 in Concepción del Uruguay, establishing a tradition of high-level senior squad competition before the main league campaign begins.

The participating teams include Monteros, Ciudad, UVT San Juan, Policial Voley, Obras Pocito, and Once Unidos. These clubs represent the professional tier of Argentine volleyball, distinct from the national cup for veteran players organized by the FEVA. While the Liga Argentina itself has been run by ACLAV since 2003, the Copa Máster serves as a specific showcase for the elite senior squads. UPCN San Juan Vóley is the most successful club in the tournament's history, having won the majority of editions between 2010 and 2019. The format ensures that only the top performers from the prior year qualify, creating a focused narrative for the start of the new season.

Historically, the Copa Máster was replaced by the Supercopa ACLAV in 2021 and 2022, though it remains the distinct 'Copa Master' in the context of senior professional volleyball. It operates separately from the Copa ACLAV, which is a mid-season cup open to all teams in the league. The tournament provides a competitive platform for these specific clubs to test their strength against one another in a condensed, high-stakes environment. The structure emphasizes immediate matches without return legs, determining the early-season hierarchy among Argentina's top volleyball franchises.
