About

The Coppa Italia A1, officially known as the Del Monte Coppa Italia SuperLega, serves as the premier domestic cup competition for men's volleyball in Italy. Organised by the Lega Pallavolo Serie A in collaboration with the FIPAV, it operates as the primary knockout tournament within the Italian volleyball pyramid. The event is distinct from the league championship, known as the Scudetto, and the pre-season Supercoppa Italiana.

Access is restricted exclusively to clubs from the top tier, the SuperLega. In its current configuration, the competition involves twelve participating teams. The campaign begins with quarterfinals played as single-leg matches, where home advantage is determined by league standings. The four winners advance to a "Final Four" held at a neutral venue over a single weekend, consisting of two semifinals and a final.

This structure has been stable in recent years, replacing earlier formats that included group stages or two-legged ties. There is no promotion or relegation associated with the cup itself, as it is a closed competition for SuperLega teams. The tournament is played during the season, typically from January to March.

Modena Volley holds the record for the most titles with 12 wins, including the inaugural edition. Cucine Lube Civitanova is the current champion, having defeated Pallavolo Verona 3–2 in the final held on January 26, 2025, at the Unipol Arena in Casalecchio di Reno; this marked Lube's eighth title.
