The Hungarian Women's Volleyball Cup serves as the premier knockout tournament for female clubs in the country. Officially known as the Női röplabda Magyar Kupa, the event is currently sponsored as the MOL Magyar Kupa. It operates under the authority of the Hungarian Volleyball Federation (MRSZ).
Established in 1951, the competition sits distinct from the league championship, known as the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Its primary function extends beyond domestic glory, as the cup winner secures a place in the CEV Cup, the second-tier European club competition. This qualification route ensures that teams not winning the league still have a chance to compete on the continental stage.
The structure of the tournament typically begins with a preliminary stage designed for lower-division teams. This leads into a knockout phase that includes a round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals. The format of these matches varies, often relying on two-legged ties or single matches depending on the round and team rankings. The season culminates in a Final Four weekend. During this event, the semi-final winners contest the title while the losers play for the bronze medal.
Dominance in the tournament has historically come from a select group of clubs. Kaposvár Volley holds the record for the most titles with 18 victories. Vasas Óbuda follows closely, having won three consecutive titles between 2022 and 2024 before extending their total to 17. The 2025–2026 season concluded in March 2026 with MBH-Békéscsaba (BRSE) defeating Fatum Nyíregyháza 3–0 in the final held in Miskolc.
