Bodrumspor and Muglaspor drew 0:0 in the third round of the 1. Lig at Bodrum Ilche Stadium on Saturday evening. The match ended without goals despite both sides creating opportunities, and it left the visitors still eight points clear at ninth while the hosts remain rooted to fifteenth.
The tension built early, with yellow cards coming thick and fast. F. Loshaj and I. Tarim were booked at twenty-four and twenty-seven minutes, followed by J. Celhaka at thirty-six. Y. Uzunoglu then picked up a caution at forty-one, setting up a dramatic sequence as the first half wound down.
By then the game had turned. Celhaka picked up his second yellow at forty-eight and was sent off, and just three minutes later Loshaj followed suit after a second booking. Two men down, Bodrumspor had to shuffle their shape, and Muglaspor suddenly found themselves with more room to work with.
The visitors didn't do much with the advantage, though. Bodrumspor made a flurry of changes — B. Ceylan and Uzunoglu came on at sixty-two, Kaplan and Erdilman at sixty-six, Diarra at sixty-eight. The game settled into a cautious rhythm, with neither side willing to take risks with so much on the line.
The statistics tell a familiar story. Bodrumspor held 55 per cent possession and registered 67 attacks compared to 59, but their shot accuracy was just 22 per cent — four shots on target from twelve attempts inside the box. Muglaspor were more clinical with 29 per cent accuracy, yet only managed two on target from five attempts overall.
And here's the thing: Bodrumspor have now drawn four of their five games, picking up just four points from two wins at this level. Muglaspor sit eight clear at ninth after five rounds, but Saturday's result suggests they're not running away with anything just yet.
