Penzugor defeated Beskids 1:3 in a club friendly match on Friday. The fixture took place on 19 September 2026 at 10:00, though no further details of the contest have been released. The final score tells the story, but the match itself remains a closed chapter.
Beskids came into this encounter with mixed recent results. They had won three of their last five games, including two straight 3:0 victories over Dobrikhovitse. But their most recent outing ended badly — a 0:3 defeat to Mikkevich Kluczbork on 4 September. That loss hung over them, and here's the thing, friendlies often expose what training sessions haven't fixed.
Penzugor's form was less encouraging. Their last five matches yielded nothing but defeats. They lost 0:3 on two occasions to Veggesh and 0:3 to Elore, with a 1:3 and 2:3 also on the ledger. By then they were carrying a losing streak, and beating Beskids at least offered some relief.
The visiting side took control early and kept knocking on the door. Beskids managed a consolation goal but couldn't find a way back. To be fair, the scoreline doesn't capture everything — friendlies rarely do. But three goals to one is a result that speaks for itself.
The match serves as preparation, nothing more. Both sides will review what happened and move on. Beskids need to address the defensive issues that cost them against Kluczbork. Penzugor at least showed they can finish chances. The draw brought them together early in the season, and now both clubs can turn their attention elsewhere.
