Penzúgő defeated Komarno 3-0 in a club friendly match on 19 September 2026. The result came at the club level, where both sides met for competitive purposes ahead of the season. Penzúgő took all three points with a convincing performance.
By then, Penzúgő had already shown they could take points away from home. Their recent record included a 3-1 victory over Beskidy, followed by three defeats to Véggház — two of those going poorly with 0-3 results. The win here suggests they found an answer when they needed one.
Komarno arrived with momentum of their own. They had beaten VK Maya 3-0, and their run against Slovan Bratislava showed mixed results — three wins, one loss. To be fair, the 1-3 defeat at their hands would have been fresh in memory. This time, however, they could not replicate that success.
And here's the thing about friendlies — you do not always get the detail. There were no statistics provided, no breakdown of shots or possession. What you get is the scoreline, and 3-0 tells you Penzúgő controlled the encounter from start to finish.
The result extends Penzúgő's positive trajectory after their difficult spell against Véggház. Komarno, meanwhile, will look to turn things on in their next outing. Both teams now move forward with this match behind them.
