Songnam edge past Kimpo in K-League 2 thriller
Songnam secured a narrow 2-1 victory away at Kimpo Citizen on Sunday, overturning an early deficit to claim three points in K-League 2's regular season. Park Dong-Jin had cancelled M. Jeon's stoppage-time opener before the away striker struck again late on, and the result leaves Kimpo one point above Songnam in the table.
The home side dominated possession and territory early on, but it was Songnam who took the lead just before the interval when M. Jeon fired past the keeper in the 45th minute plus five. Kimpo responded immediately after the break, and by then Park Dong-Jin had equalised — though the goal was initially cancelled by VAR before being reinstated.
