The decisive moments came after the interval. Jesenice struck three times in quick succession — at 61, 66 and 70 minutes — before Beltingci pulled one back late on at the 90th minute. And here's the thing about those three goals: they came in a ten-minute spell that broke the game open.
Discipline proved as important as attacking intent. Three yellow cards arrived before half-time — at 23, 42 and 47 minutes — while a red card at 54 minutes reduced one side to ten men. By then the momentum had already shifted.
Jesenice's confidence was building from their 2-0 victory over Dekani just eight days earlier. They had drawn with Krško and lost narrowly to Taborež, but the win against Dekani suggested improvement. The team held their ground in midfield and used their home advantage.
