Petrovac and Mornar played out a 1:1 draw in the First League's regular season fifth round on Saturday evening. The result keeps Mornar in second place with nine points from five games, while Petrovac remain fourth on six points after a win, three draws and one defeat.
A. Soussi gave Petrovac the lead just before half-time, striking in the 45th minute of added time. Z. Divanovic equalised for Mornar in the eightieth minute, and neither side could find a winner in the closing stages of a match that swung between momentum and stalemate.
Petrovac dominated possession at 60 per cent and registered 163 attacks compared with Mornar's 121, yet Mornar were more clinical with seven shots on target to four. The hosts also created more from wide areas, taking five corners against three, but could not convert that territorial advantage into a second goal.
Petrovac made four changes during the second half, bringing on I. Vukcevic and D. Bakic in the fifty-fifth minute, followed by D. Skrijelj and Y. Yao at sixty-nine. Mornar introduced N. Carevic and S. Ficovic at seventy-three, and Petrovac added J. Dasic and D. Miranovic for the final ten minutes. J. Baosic collected a yellow card for Petrovac in the thirty-fifth minute.
Mornar's unbeaten run extends to five matches, though they have yet to secure a third win. Petrovac's form has been inconsistent, with two consecutive 0:0 draws before this result, and they now face a fixture list that is running out of games before the winter break.
