Amine Ferid Gouiri

Amine Gouiri came through Lyon's academy, joining as a teenager in 2013 and working his way up through the reserve side before breaking into the first team. His early promise was already visible on the international stage: he finished as top scorer at the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He went on to represent France at every youth level up to Under-21 before switching his international allegiance to Algeria in 2023, including one against Jordan at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. At club level, his move away from Lyon in 2020 took him to Nice, where he reached a Coupe de France final. Two years later he moved again, this time to Rennes for a fee that stood as a club record for the Breton side. His time there preceded a switch to Marseille at the start of 2025, a transfer completed on transfer deadline day in January. The early signs at his new club were encouraging: within weeks he was named Ligue 1 Player of the Month for February.
