A. Somogy

Ádám Somogyi came through the youth ranks at Puskás Akadémia before making the switch to Budapest Honvéd in August 2024, joining permanently on a deal for an undisclosed fee. Across the 2024/25 campaign he featured for both Honvéd's senior side and its U19 team, adding fifteen appearances in the Merkantil Bank Liga and one in the Hungarian Cup as he settled into the club. He wears the number 8 shirt and operates as a central or defensive midfielder, right-footed, and broke into first-team football at just seventeen or eighteen years old.

His first senior goal in Hungary's top flight came — a strike from 25 metres against MTK Budapest. In February 2026 he was loaned out to MOL Fehérvár for the rest of the 2025/26 season, a spell in which he made fourteen appearances and scored once in the NB II before returning to Honvéd at the end of June.

Somogyi has represented Hungary at youth level, collecting eight caps and a goal for the U17s, including six appearances and an assist during U17 European Championship qualifying, and twelve caps with a goal for the U19s.

He is not the only footballer in his family: his younger brother, Tamás Somogyi, holds the record as Honvéd's youngest-ever debutant in the NB II era.
