Artem Karatai

Artem Karatai learned the game close to home, training at the Lida sports school under the guidance of his father, Yury Karatai, before moving on to the ABFF Academy in Minsk, which he finished in the summer of 2021. He joined Dinamo Minsk's structure that July and was signed to the first team the following year.

Ostrovets gave him his first taste of professional football in July 2022, and he kept five clean sheets in nine matches there. Handed the starting job, he made his league debut in April 2023, was voted the club's best player that month by supporters, and was picked for the Symbolic Team of the Round after round three of the Premier League. He was also listed among the country's most promising under-20 goalkeepers that spring.

A long spell followed with Dinamo Minsk II in the First League through 2024 and into 2025, before his senior debut finally came in the Belarusian Cup against BATE Borisov in March 2024. Since then he has collected a Premier League title with Dinamo Minsk and a Super Cup, though most of his football since has again come away from the first team, on loan first at Dinamo Brest and then, from January 2026, at Gomel, where he has featured for both the main squad and Gomel-2. At youth level, he has been capped by Belarus at under-16, under-19 and under-21.
