Georgi Kukushkin

Georgi Kukushkin came through the Zhlobin Sports School for Youth before joining Shakhtyor Soligorsk's academy in 2019. His senior football started away from the club that trained him: in 2023 he was sent out to Shakhtyor Petrikov in the Pershaya Liga, where the young defender made 30 appearances and scored once.

He returned to Shakhtyor Soligorsk in 2024, but the path back to the top flight went through the reserves. Kukushkin spent most of that spell with Shakhtyor Soligorsk 2 in the Pershaya Liga, adding 26 more appearances and another goal, and was given two outings with the senior side in the Vysshaya Liga. In January 2025 he moved on again, joining FC Gomel on a contract running through the end of 2027.

His performances have not gone unnoticed at international level. Kukushkin has been involved with the Belarus under-21 side, coming on as a substitute in a 1-1 draw with Russia's under-21s, and was named in the squad for a friendly against Kazakhstan. He also features among the players registered for the UEFA Under-21 Championship 2027.
