About the player
Timofey Simonenko came through the FC Minsk academy, where his first coach was Anatoly Komoska, working his way through the club's youth and reserve sides before making his debut for the FC Minsk main squad in June 2023. He made 47 appearances in the Vysshaya Liga, scoring four goals and adding two assists, with a further six Belarusian Cup appearances and a goal in that competition.
In August 2025 the forward moved to FC Gomel on a free transfer, signing a two-year contract. In the Vysshaya Liga for Gomel he has scored 13 goals and set up five more in 34 appearances, and he has also added an assist in two Belarusian Cup matches.
Simonenko has been capped at youth level for Belarus, and scored for the under-17 side in a match against Uzbekistan's under-16 team. His form at Gomel has drawn interest from bigger clubs, including a reported approach from Spartak that he turned down.
