Daan Heymans

Daan Heymans announced himself in style: on 3 March 2018, still a teenager at Westerlo, he scored his first professional hat-trick in a 6–0 win over Lierse SK. It capped a breakthrough spell in which he made 25 appearances and scored 4 goals for the club he had joined as a boy after starting out at KSK Retie.

In the 2020–21 season he scored 6 goals in his first 7 matches, briefly topping the Jupiler Pro League scoring charts and holding the Jupiler Gouden Stier award through August and September 2020. The team's form did not hold, though, and Waasland-Beveren went down at the end of that campaign.

Heymans then tried his luck abroad, joining Venezia on a free transfer. A loan to Charleroi followed, and the move became permanent; across two spells there he made 107 league appearances and scored 22 goals, establishing himself as a key player for the club.

That form earned him a switch to Genk on 18 June 2025, a €3 million transfer with a contract running to 2029. He scored 10 goals in 33 league appearances for his new side. At youth level, he has represented Belgium's U-18 side.
